Registering for Password Reset

Tuesday, August 03, 2021 / Published in Chromebooks, For Students, For Teachers

Registering for Password Reset

Did you know that students and staff can reset their passwords without assistance from the Department of Technology or the school’s Technology Support Technician

Yep, students and staff can reset their passwords on their own in just 2 easy steps:

  1. Set up your password recovery and reset option in ClassLink. You must be setup prior to a password expiring or an account being locked out. This is a one time set up process however the selections can be edited through your profile settings in ClassLink.
  2. Reset your password

Registering for Recovery

  • From the ClassLink LaunchPad, click on your profile avatar on the top right and select “Settings”
  • Select “Recovery” from the options at the top menu; Configure either Mobile Phone or Questions.  You may select one or choose both.

Password can now be reset through the ClassLink login screen.

If you are assigned to a school and have any trouble configuring your Password Recovery and Reset, please call your school’s Technology Support Technician(TST) for assistance.

If you are assigned to an admin site and have any trouble configuring your Password Recovery and Reset, please call the Customer Support Center at 757-263-1111 for assistance.
